At Real, we’re always on the lookout for programmes that we think support or encourage people to love life and live in a better world. GlobalCitizen.org is one we’ve found out about recently and it’s organising a concert at Auckland’s Town Hall featuring a stellar New Zealand line-up – Tiki Taane, Anika Moa, Jamie McDell, Seth Haapu, AhoriBuzz, and Maitreya!
“From New York’s Central Park to Auckland’s Town Hall, musicians are uniting to inspire others to make a stand against extreme poverty.” The event will unite a generation’s call for justice and bring together a community of like-minded people on Sunday, 4 August 2013.
GlobalCitizen.org is designed to help people become more effective agents for change by sharing a global view and helping them keep track of the issues and opportunities they care about. It was initiated by the Global Poverty Project, an organisation dedicated to ending the extreme poverty that affects more than 1.2 billion people.
